About Us
Sparkle Paws Dog Wash is here to meet your simple dog grooming needs. My number one goal is for your dog to have a positive experience and to come back with a waggy tail! The second goal is to try to keep your cost down because I know how expensive it can be to have dogs. However, I believe everyone should be able to afford to keep their dogs clean and comfortable. While I don't offer full coat trims at this time, there is an array of services that you can choose from a'la carte style. I also try to give you as close of an estimate of pricing before your appointment so you know what to expect.  

Services

Standard Wash with Towel Dry

A stress-free thorough wash with shampoo, followed by a towel dry. All washes take place in my sauna so there is no need to climb into a tub or be contained or tied down in any way. The cost is determined by the size and hair type of your dog. ($10-$50)

Conditioner add-on

An add-on option for after shampooing. Conditioner can help with the upkeep of longer coats. ($5-$30)

Blow Dry and Brush

Most dogs don’t really need to be blow dried, especially if it’s summer, they have a super short coat, or they’re an indoor dog. However for those dogs that need don’t fall under those categories or really need some de-shedding help, a blow dry is great! I do not restrain dogs for this except for their leash, so they can walk around, sit, or even lay down when need be. Brushing will always accompany a blow dry. ($10-$50)

Nail Trim

Trimming your pup’s nails can be hard. Getting them used to it as early as possible is key! I use clippers and/or a grinding tool depending on the dog’s preference and the color of their nails. I don’t use restraints for this either, so if your dog is aggressive or absolutely terrified of getting their nails done, I am not the groomer for you. ($15)

Mat Removal

Mats can be painful and restrict movement. Trimming them off can usually be done without a full body trim, though if your dog has a lot of matting all over their body, they may need to be shaved at a full service groomer. ($10-$30)

Sanitary Trim

Some long haired dogs benefit from a sanitary trim which just means a trim around the privates, especially just under the tail. It helps your dog stay cleaner and smell better. ($5-$20)

Pick Up and Drop Off

I also offer pick up and drop off services for when you just don’t have the time to chauffeur your pup for a grooming appointment. ($20 in Los Alamos, $30 for WR)
